Britain's Got Talent contestant Alice Fredenham accused of faking her stage fright as she's seen looking confident in low cut top on The Voice

Shaking with nerves and wiping away tears, only to reveal a beautiful voice... Alice Fredenham melted everyone’s hearts on Britain’s Got Talent last week.
But viewers who watch tonight’s episode of The Voice will see a rather different side to the 28-year-old singer.
During her audition, filmed in December, she shows no sign of her crippling stage fright, instead stepping out confidently in a low-cut top and belting out her song.

The startling difference between the performances has prompted accusations that she was faking her nerves.
Some viewers claimed her apparent shyness on Britain’s Got Talent, filmed three months after her audition for The Voice, was nothing more than a cynical ploy to win votes.
It certainly won over the panel on the ITV show, with Simon Cowell and his fellow judges expressing their admiration as Miss Fredenham tearfully explained her battle to overcome crippling stage-fright.
Yesterday it emerged the singer, who described herself as a ‘beauty therapist’ on Britain’s Got Talent, is well on the road to becoming a fully-fledged professional musician and has already built up a significant fanbase.

Sources close to Miss Fredenham revealed she was under management before her TV auditions.
Last October, she released a video of herself recording My Funny Valentine, the same song she chose for her BGT audition, in a professional studio. It has since been viewed more than 70,000 times.
Viewers accused her of faking her nerves yesterday. Writing on Twitter, Scott Green said: ‘The same #BGT Alice Fredenham on Facebook doesn’t look the same nervous, plain Jane, beauty therapist we just witnessed on stage #muggedoff.'
Jill Dexter added: ‘Nervous beauty therapist Alice Fredenham on #bgt. Search her name on facebook. Beauty therapist? Promotional rubbish as usual on these shows.’

Belinda Goodman said: ‘Alison Fredenham really didn’t need to do the whole fake stage fright fake tears act as she has a beautiful voice. Ruined it for me #BGT’
During last week’s BGT audition - filmed in Birmingham in February - Miss Fredenham explained she had come without her family because she ‘didn’t want to let anyone down’.
Wiping away her tears, she explained her fear of rejection, saying: ‘Stage fright is something I’ve battled with. I’m just trying to take each minute as it comes. If someone says no for me it’s like you’re not good enough.
‘That’s where I think most of the nervousness comes from. That people say no. I really want to succeed because I feel like I’m failing myself more than anything. I want to prove to everybody I’m something more than what they maybe thought.’

But on tonight’s episode of The Voice – filmed two months earlier in December – the audience was treated to a far more upbeat persona.
Surrounded by her family, Miss Fredenham appeared bubbly and self-confident as she described the audition as a ‘win-win situation’.
She added: ‘My confidence has grown loads in the last few years. I think that just comes with age as well.’
Dressed in a tight-fitting skirt and low-cut top, Miss Fredenham performed 1930’s musical hit Lady Is A Tramp.

However, she failed to impress coaches Jessie J, Tom Jones, Danny O’Donoghue and Will.i.am, who described her performance as ‘a bit safe’.
Yesterday, a source on the BBC show said: ‘We were surprised when we saw Alice’s appearance on Britain’s Got Talent.
‘All the time she was on The Voice she was bubbly and confident. She didn’t seem nervous at all. It was a surprise to see her looking so demure. It is almost as if she has had a make-under.’
However, sources on Britain’s Got Talent denied she had been given styling tips by ITV production staff and claimed her confidence had been knocked by her appearance on The Voice.

A BGT spokesman said: ‘We didn’t even know she had auditioned for The Voice when she appeared on our show.’
Miss Fredenham lives with her parents in a £1million house in Harpenden, Herts.
When approached by the Daily Mail yesterday, her father said he did not know when she would be home, adding: ‘Alice is a free spirit, she does want she wants.’
She later arrived back but immediately drove away at speed to avoid speaking about her talent show appearances.
